    Program Requirements

    All Mason Gross applicants are required to complete two applications, the Rutgers University application and the Mason Gross supplemental application. The Mason Gross supplemental application is emailed to applicants after submitting the Rutgers University application and is due on January 14, 2022.

    International applicants must score an 83 or above on the TOEFL IBT, a 233 or above on the TOEFL Computer version or a 70 or above on the IELTS.

(150-200 words). 2. Why do you want to obtain a graduate degree in Ecology and Evolution and how does this relate to your long-term goals? (150-200 words) 3. What are your specific research interests and why is Rutgers Ecology and Evolution an appropriate program for you? (150-200 words) 4. Have you had any pivotal research experience and how this has guided your thinking about applying to Ecology and Evolution? (300-500 words) 5. Diversity refers to the variety of personal experiences, values, and worldviews that arise from differences of culture and circumstance. In what ways could you contribute to the diversity of the Ecology and Evolution Graduate Program? (150-200 words) 6. Describe a way or ways in which you have participated in, or plan to participate in, efforts to make science accessible and inclusive of communities both within and outside the University. The Coastal Climate Risk & Resilience traineeship works with students to build the skills needed to address real-world resilience issues in the face of climate change. This trainee and certificate program offers students the opportunity to conduct research that integrates natural, socio-economic, and engineered elements of coastal systems and to practice effective communication techniques with coastal stakeholders.     Program Requirements

    Personal statement, transcripts, and two letters of recommendation. Bachelor's degree required. Successful applicants to the Economics master's program should have completed courses in single variable and multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and undergraduate statistical methods. At a minimum, a candidate needs to have taken a single variable calculus course and an undergraduate statistics course.

    Test Requirements

    The GRE is NOT required. TOEFL/IBT or IELTS for International Students. (For a TOEFL waiver, applicant must have a minimum of three years undergraduate studies or a masters degree with the mode of instruction being English.
