    Personal Statement Instructions
    A personal statement of about 500 words. Your personal statement should explicitly state if you are seeking to concentrate in (a) Human Resources or (b) Labor, Work, and Society. Your statement should clearly articulate your research interests and the particular topic or issues on which you anticipate focusing. We also highly recommend that you assess the match between your personal interests and faculty research strengths and include this information in your personal statement. It is typically best to focus your personal statement on the above points, and not devote significant space to describing your general motivations for pursuing a Ph.D.

    Personal statement, two letters of recommendation (professional or academic letters are required), resume and official transcripts. Three additional requirements are required for International Applicants: (1) TOEFL (or IELTS) Scores, (2) A transcript evaluation by any member of NACES, such as WES, and (3) A Video-based interview (you will receive further information on the video-based interview after you submit your application).

    Test Requirements

    GRE scores are only required for applicants with a GPA below 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants holding an advanced or master's degree are not required to submit GRE scores. GMAT, MCAT, and LSAT scores may be submitted in lieu of GRE scores.

    Please include a personal statement of approximately 750 words. Address your professional goals and how you believe the MI degree will support your progress toward these goals.
